It has been a year since I last saw Chloe for her one year photos and today we met up to capture some memories for her 2nd birthday. Other than a full head of hair she looks just the same. A little shy and serious but dad was able to coax some great smiles. She brought along her doll Honey that gave me some help too. I loved listening to her little two year old chatter. Chloe is going to be a big sister at the end of October. She told me she wants a boy baby, which mom says is the first time she has said boy. Holly and Tim are waiting to find out if Chloe will have a brother or a sister. I look forward to hearing the news. Thanks again for our session today. I look forward to meeting your new baby for his/her newborn session.
On a warm summer evening at the beginning of this week I met up with Andrea and Steve and their beautiful children for Brodie’s one year shoot. He is already walking but can get where he wants faster by crawling. Brodie is very much the boy version of his sister Pressly! It seems like just yesterday that I was doing her newborn session and now she is heading off to kindergarten. We had to fight of mosquitos in our one location but once we moved we were mosquito free. Thank you Andrea and Steve for being some of my most loyal clients. I have really enjoyed watching your babies grow.
This little man got to be my very first client in my new studio this past Monday and by the look of the grin on his face he enjoyed it. Hunter James was born on August 6th, weighing in perfectly at 7lbs 5oz. He is truly a miracle! Hunter hardly made a peep during his whole session. My studio was warm and he was so very relaxed, giving me some extra time to play. Having a bed in my studio as a prop doubles as a resting space for tired new parents and I loved that I could post a quick peek image with the wifi when Hunter had a snack break. There are so many friends and family that have waited a long time to love on this sweet boy. Congratulations Erin and Jason on your miracle boy. Thank you also to your awesome girlfriends for giving you the gift of photography. Here are a few images from our session!
(He has a name!)Naming a newborn is no easy job. I have been holding on to these images waiting anxiously awaiting the announcement of this sweet boy’s name! I figured I could hold them over Megan’s head as a ransom but seeing as it is already 11 days after his session and I am going on holidays, I would share them even with out a name. Baby boy Hallock was born July 14th and was welcomed by two big brothers. He weighed a whopping 9lbs 10oz and was very cooperative for his session. I have had the pleasure of photographing Rowan and Quinn in the past and Megan reminded me that Quinn was also 11 days old at his newborn session. How cool it will be for these boys to have each other as they grow up. Grandma came to entertain the older boys during our session which was a big help. Thank you Megan and Andrew for letting me snuggle your new little man. We all can’t wait to hear what his name will be.
This sweet baby was born back on May 30th. She was just a wee little peanut then at just 5lbs 9oz but is growing like crazy and mom says she is now about 8 lbs. You wouldn’t guess by looking at her and I was surprised just how heavy she was when I picked her up. Rosie is here with her parents visiting her grandparents and cousins and because she lives in Alberta wasn’t able to come to get “newborn” photos. Today she came to see me for her debut shoot with me. Although she looks like a newborn, she is definitely used to being on the outside. Rosie made us work to get her sleeping images for sure but I love how bright she was when she was awake. She has the cutest expressions and smiles. She loved being snuggled up with mom and dad the best. Thank you Sarah and Fergus for letting me snuggle Rosie this morning. Enjoy the rest of your family time here.
