After some setbacks, I finally got to meet this little man for his newborn session. Tate Huxley was born three weeks ago, on his due date of April 28th and weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz. He arrived to see me, wide awake, and being three weeks old already I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Tate is such a sweetie, but really didn’t want to miss out on anything. He did make me work for sure, and with it being so warm outside my studio was a hot box for both of us. Mom brought along a special knit blanket in memory of his grandma. He did sleep for short periods of time between snacks allowing me to capture some sweet memories. I love his little feet and toes. Tate has beautiful eyelashes of course, being a boy! Near the end of our session he fell into a deeper slumber and allowed me to try some new of my new props. Thank you Karolina and Trent for bringing me your sweet baby. I enjoyed our session together. Here are just a few from today…
I spent part of my day getting to know this handsome little guy. Behrik is 9 days old today and was born May 9th weighing a whopping 9lbs 2oz. He arrived wide awake and mom tells me he is either awake or nursing. I soon discovered that the key to keeping him asleep, or with eyes closed, is my signature mummy wrap! It worked on and off, but Behrik had me digging deep and thinking outside of box to find poses he liked. I love what we came up with! Thank you Maegan and Tyler for letting me snuggle your sweet baby boy today. Here are a few images from our session. Enjoy!
This newborn session was booked yesterday! I am so thrilled that I had a free day today to spend with the cutest little man. Everett was born on May 10th and weighed 8lbs 3.5oz. He has the softest, most flawless newborn skin! Mom says he usually sleeps most of the time and falls asleep after feeds but he must have thought our session was going to be way to much fun to miss, so he wanted to be awake for it. Even awake he was super chill. Big brother Keegan joined us at the start and being just 21 months old, wasn’t super interested in photos with his new baby. I did manage to get this one though and I think it is a keeper for sure. Thank you so much Pam and Trevor for trusting me with Everett’s newborn memories. I enjoyed getting to know your little family.
With dark clouds and a storm that blew in 30 minutes prior to our session we were still able to get our shoot done before the rain drops started. No sooner was I in my car to leave and the rain began. Amanda, CJ and their sweet three year old daughter Alyse made their way from Kelowna to one of my favourite blossoming apple orchards for their family session. I first met this sweet family back in June of 2014 for their newborn session. Alyse had a head of dark hair and from the looks of her images I am pretty sure she was an easy little client. She is going to be three at the end of May and now has an amazing head of curls. She was a little reserved at the beginning but near the end I got to see her true personality emerge. Thank you Amanda and CJ for having me document these family memories for you. I hope you are having a great Mother’s day! Here are a few from our time together, enjoy!
