Today couldn’t have been any better for our session. Beautiful sun, gorgeous fall colours, and a super sweet family. I met up with Chelsi and Brynn and their two kiddos to document some fun family images. Jude is almost 6 and Fiona just 3. My last time photographing Fiona she was just a newborn. Jude was in front of my camera in preschool. It wasn’t hard to get the images I wanted in just a short time. I always get everyone looking at the camera during our session but I am most drawn to the real life, interactive photos. You can feel the love these parents have for their children. After we were done we made our way down to the beach where the kids did some rock skipping in the lake. Thanks Chelsi for letting me spend some time with your sweet kids today. These are just a few of the images that I love!
Today was a beautiful afternoon for a fall family shoot. We had postponed from a few days ago due to rain and I really hadn’t expected sun for today. This is my third shoot with the Ptak family and these kids get cuter every time. At almost 3, Grayson and Elle are full of spunk. They chatter away and are getting easier to bribe. Mom does an amazing job at getting all the outfits together so if you ever need help with deciding what to wear in your photoshoot I can send her name along, ha ha! I commute past this site weekly and have loved watching the leaves turn bright yellow and red. I am sure it won’t be long before they are all on the ground. Thank you Anna and Chris for once again choosing me to document your beautiful family.
Back in August I met Jay and Nicole for their maternity images and now their sweet baby is making his debut in front of my camera. Lincoln Robert was born September 30th at 13:52 by c-section. He had decided early on to position himself bum down and wasn’t about to move. At birth Lincoln weighed 7 lbs 12 1/2 oz. He is working hard at making his way back to his birthweight. He loved his soother today and this allowed me some time to work at getting him into position. As he was used to sitting with his legs up to his ears in the womb he loved to keep them straight up. Mom says he often sits in his swing with one leg extended. Wrigley, the first baby, cooperated for his photo too. Nicole and Jay brought along some of their medical text books to be included in the session. Maybe Lincoln will follow in their footsteps and become a doctor. Thank you Nicole and Jay for trusting me with your sweet boy.
It has been several years since I have had the Bond’s in front of my camera. Today we met up to update their family images. Grace is 12 and is in the same class as my girl in grade 7. Braden is now 11 and in his first year of middle school. I have had the pleasure of knowing these guys since they were little. Sophie loves to play with my dog but unfortunately with Shirley and I on different schedules the doggy play dates are few and far between. Our location today is starting to show signs of fall and the red leaves are just emerging. It made the perfect backdrop for us. Thank you Shirley and Kevin for a fun session. Here are a few from today….enjoy!
I have to admit, I almost pulled the plug on this session a half an hour before it was scheduled. The ridges all around were stormy and the sun was hidden. I am so glad I didn’t. I last saw little Amelia in the late spring for her “one year” session but it has been a year since I saw the whole family. What a difference a year makes. I always tell parents that sessions only get easier as the kids get older. Easton is now four and we hit it off, with the help of some little dinosaurs that I brought. (the dino image is for Easton) He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to dinos. I on the other hand am not. Amelia is not yet mobile but was happy to snuggle beside her brother. The rain stayed away and we did get a few glimpses of the sun too. Thank you Megan and James for choosing me to be your family photographer. I am enjoying watching your kids grow.
