I had the pleasure of photographing this little family today. Tamara and Donny are here from Alberta visiting family (that I just happen to be great friends with), and as I have photographed Donny’s siblings and there families, it was time to capture this part of the family. It wasn’t long ago that my three girls were this little and it was funny to see how birth order really does explain the personalities of the littles. These girls were so much like mine. Zaylee is 6 and you can tell her age by looking at her smile. Nyla is 4, and very comfortable in front of the camera. Zosha is your typical third born two year old. Tamara and Donny are also foster parents to a sweet almost 4 month old little boy. “Xman” as he is often called loves to be snuggled. Due to confidentiality, posting images of him are limited (I did take some) but I love the one of him being loved. What a lucky little guy to be welcomed into such a loving family. Thank you Nana Cheri for supporting our youth Mexico Mission trip this past spring by bidding on this session in our silent auction. Tamara and Donny, your family is beautiful and I enjoyed getting to spend time with your sweet girls.
Kingston Ellis was born on Canada day weighing in at just 5 lbs 9 oz. He is a champion eater and already has surpassed his birthweight, plus more. Kingston is one chill little man which made our session together go very smoothly. I was surprised to have all his images, and images with mom and dad complete in just the 2hr mark. I love his head of dark hair and that he was so easy to pose just the way I like. He barely made a fuss until he was hungry. Once he had his snack he was off in a slumber again. Thank you Natasha and Mike for letting snuggle with Kingston. I enjoyed our session together.
On June 7th at just over 33 weeks I photographed Samantha to document her growing baby belly. Little did anyone know but Emmy would make her appearance just a week later at 34 weeks. Emmy Faye was born on June 16th and weighed in at 4 lbs 14 oz. Being early meant a plane ride for mom as there was no room at the higher level centers in the valley. Emmy was born in Vancouver but did so well was back in Kelowna in just a few days. She was a smart little thing and figured out how to eat pretty quickly so was home after just a couple of weeks. Today Emmy came to see me. She is growing so much and is already 6 lbs 2 oz! I was so excited to photograph a girl after my run of 9 boys! Sam and Dylan are hunters so it was only fitting that they brought along some antlers to use in our session. I love how that image materialized! Thank you Samantha and Dylan for having me capture such sweet memories for you. I look forward to watching Emmy grow!
Waris came to see me today for his newborn shoot. Although he was due to arrive July 13th, he decide he would rather be a June baby so came early on June 12th. For an early baby he did very well, and weighed 5lbs 80z. Today he is already up to 6 lbs 4 oz and growing like crazy. Waris arrived awake and I got to see his big brown eyes open. It only took one swaddle and he was asleep. He really must have enjoyed his session as he gave me a couple of smiles. I love love love his full head of dark hair and flawless skin. Thank you Manpreet and Deep for trusting me with your sweet little man. He is absolutely adorable and I really could have kept him.
Sweet Casso is such a little peanut. Born on June 25th, one day shy of 37 weeks he weighed just 4 lbs 15 0z. I am sure he is the littlest newborn I have photographed. Mom tells me Casso was up and feeding all night so for our session today he was a super star, sleeping pretty much the whole time. I was able to get everything finished in less than two hours! Cassy was very smiley and I was able to capture a couple of grins. Thank you Deja and Colby for making your way to my studio from Kelowna in the summer traffic. Your boy is precious and I enjoyed spending my morning with him.
