Natalie and Jim are some of my long time loyal clients and I have had the pleasure of photographing the maternity and newborn sessions for all three of their children. On January 3rd, Natalie’s birthday, sweet Elena Mary was born. She was bigger than her brothers were, weighing 8 lbs 1 oz. Daniel and Peter adore their new sister and some of the images captured today show such gentleness with her. I absolutely love her head of hair and with very few protests, she made our session so easy. At the end of our time together she opened her eyes and just stared. Mom brought along a special knit blanket and I love the resulting image with it. Thank you so much Natalie and Jim for coming back to see me and trusting me with such special memories. I have enjoyed watching your family grow. I look forward to a family session this spring/summer.
These images make me smile. Sabina and Cody are expecting a little boy February 16th and today we spent part of the afternoon capturing special memories of this exciting time in their lives. At just over 34 weeks Sabina has the most perfect baby bump. Together they were so easy to photograph. Are you sure this is your first ever photoshoot?? I was excited to try a new set up and the results….well, you decide. We included their two little fur babies at the end of our session in studio and in a few images out in the snow. Thank you Sabina and Cody for being such easy models. I cannot wait to meet your sweet baby next month. Here are a few of the images from today. Enjoy!
After 7 newborn boys in a row, today I kicked of my 2018 newborn sessions with this sweet baby girl. Libby Iris surprised her parents by arriving almost 5 weeks early on December 8th. She weighed 6 lbs 7 0z, despite her early arrival and unlike most little ones born that early, she only spent a few days in the NICU. (I did get to meet her on one of my work days!) Big sister Alyse joined us today for Libby’s newborn session. I love having older siblings and Alyse was so sweet to her baby sister. Even though she was over 3 weeks old, Libby was a great little model. Mom refinished this super cute high chair and brought it along for us to use. Just a disclaimer….mom had a hand on Libby at all times. Thank you Amanda and CJ for trusting me once again with your newborn memories. I look forward to seeing you all again this fall.
Weston David is my final wee client for 2017! He arrived on December 7th, one week late, and weighed 7 lbs 8 oz. He cooperated so well today for his debut photo session. I even lucked out and caught a little grin. It took a little convincing, but Aspen did agree to have a couple of images taken with her baby brother. She liked to see the back of my camera after and it seemed to encourage her to keep going. As per mom, Weston looks very much like she did as a newborn. I do see similarities with Aspen too. Thank you Diane and Kris for braving the blizzard today for our session. I loved snuggling your new little one.
This little man and I share a birthday! Fox Winston arrived Dec 5th weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and was welcomed by mom, dad and big sister Ellery. I haven’t seen Ellery since her newborn session 20 months ago and she is such a sweet little girl. She came right to me and let me pick her up. That usually means photos will go well. Fox slept really well and other than a couple of quick snacks pretty much let me play and cuddle. He is a super chill baby for sure. Thank you Karen and Alex for once again letting me capture your newborn memories. You have a beautiful little family.
