I couldn’t have asked for a better evening for this session. The sunlight was perfect and it felt just like a midsummers night. I am in love with these images. Megan is a beautifully radiant mamma to be. Due on July 15th, she is now 34 weeks pregnant with their first baby. They know they are going to be welcoming a baby boy but have been fairly hush hush on the name (although I know!!) I am super excited to meet him! Thank you Megan and Scott for traveling down the valley for your session. Enjoy your last 6 weeks of your pregnancy! I had trouble picking which images to show you as there are so many I love!

It was a perfect evening to photograph a beautiful girl who is just about to graduate high school. Brooklyn’s mom and I went to high school together and I was excited to be asked to these special photos for her girl. It is hard to believe that this is her second baby to graduate. I had the privilege two years ago to photograph her son also. I look at my girls and know that in a flash this will be me! I don’t photograph many teens other than my own but I have to say it is definitely way less stressful than chasing toddlers!Brooklyn is a beautiful girl inside and out and I am super happy with our images from tonight. I know it is hard to relax with a camera in your face! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Today was play school picture day and I always come away from these photos feeling totally blessed. This is my third year doing the photos for SBC play school and each year I look forward to it. I love this age group and find them some of the easiest to photograph. Each of these little people have amazing personalities and just radiate with enthusiasm for life. I am sure they will be sad to leave Mrs. E and Mrs. V as play school comes to a close. I wish them many happy school years as they embark on their elementary school journey. Thanks moms and dads for raising such great kids! Heidi

This wee little man and his family came to see me today. Mom had booked this newborn session way back and we had anticipated and early arrival. Mason arrived three and a half weeks early on May 14th weighing just 5lbs 7oz. Today he is still a bit under 6lbs. Being early he was still very sleepy for me and still loved being curled up! Big brother Evan joined us for a bit at the start of the session and I just love this family image. Thanks so much Jennifer for having me document this special time for you. Your boys are beautiful. Harper Addison :: 7 Days Newborn {Okanagan Newborn Photographer}

A baby girl in my studio makes me smile. Sweet Harper Addison spent the morning with me yesterday. Welcomed just one week ago on May 17th at 9:34 am, she weighed 7lb 6oz, but is already up to 7lbs 14oz. Harper slept in spurts and was very good for her debut session. She has the best creamy newborn skin and perfect little lips and I think she looks alot like her siblings! Big sister Alexis, and big brother Holden joined us at the end for sibling and family poses and then Harper crashed letting me play a bit more. Thank you Ashley and Jesse for choosing me to document your pregnancy and this special time as you welcome your new baby girl.

Dexter Graham :: 7 Days New {Okanagan Newborn Photographer}

I first met Julie last month at her maternity session and after having a chance to chat with her it felt like we had known each other for a long time. We are both nurses so have lots in common. Her sweet boy Dexter Graham arrived on May 3rd at 0827, fashionably late, and weighed 8lbs 10oz. The name Graham has special meaning because it is his Grandpa’s name! Big sister Rachael just loves her baby brother and is such a big help. She couldn’t wait to cuddle him during their photos together. I was super excited to use my new vintage baby buggy and just love the image that resulted. Thank you Julie and Richard for having me capture your new little man and sweet “big” girl. I have enjoyed getting to know you. Happy Mother’s Day!! Hope you get spoiled!

This evenings session was amazing. Apple blossoms, bathed in sunlight with summer like temperatures and one absolutely beautiful expectant mamma! Mary made her way to this beautiful orchard all the way from Lake Country tonight to document her second pregnancy. Her second baby boy is due to arrive in just over three weeks. Unfortunately Mary’s husband was out of town with work and wasn’t able to join us for this session. First born Kayleb came along and I love this image of him with his mamma. His Grandpa was a big help, taking him out for a walk while mom modeled for me. Mary, you are stunning and I am so happy you chose me to capture these images for you. I look forward to meeting your new baby boy when he arrives. These are some of my faves from tonight. Can’t wait for you to see the rest. Enjoy!!

Natalie & Jim :: Expecting {Okanagan Maternity Photography}

Even though it is technically spring you would never know it by the weather we have had today. Wind, snow, rain, hail, and finally for our session this evening….sun! (even though it was only 7 degrees!) I first photographed Natalie during her first pregnancy almost exactly two years ago and was very happy she contacted me to document this pregnancy. Natalie is 36weeks pregnant and just radiant. She braved the chilly temperatures and wind wearing these sun dresses. You would never know how cold it actually was. Jim and nearly 2 Daniel joined us for a few images. Daniel was much more interested in all the things around him than in modeling for me! One of my fave images though is the family one with no one looking at me. Daniel loves his peak a boo bear and it really helped to keep him occupied. Thanks Natalie and Jim for making your way down the valley to have me document these memories for you. I can’t wait to meet your newest addition.

The weather has been less than spring like lately and trying to pre book spring sessions has been near impossible. The blossoms are out and I couldn’t let another evening go by and not take advantage of the light. These beautiful girls of mine have been asking for weeks for a photo shoot. Delaney had a vision for her session. She loves her guitar and plays every chance she gets so it seemed fitting to include it. She is a country girl at heart. Avery is a girly girl and loves the camera. She would model for me any time I want and loves to see all the images I capture at my sessions. I am so enjoying this stage of their lives. I was always told that the teenage years with three girls would be tough but I am enjoying every minute. Delaney and Avery chose their favourite images from our session tonight, giving me permission to share them with you. Enjoy! I love them all!
