This sweet baby girl just happens to have the same name as me. When I told big brother Colton what my name was he was really surprised! Heidi was born September 28th and weighed 8 lbs 11 oz and today at her Dr. appt she was already back to the exact weight. Colton is 4 which made our sibling images so easy. Most siblings that come are 2 or under which means I usually have to work pretty hard to accomplish them. Colton loves his baby sister for sure. Heidi slept for the first half of our time together and overall was a sweet little model. Thank you mom and dad for letting me capture these special memories of your sweet kids.
Shera and Jim are awaiting the arrival of baby number 2 early this November. Today we ventured out with nearly two year old Cullen to capture some memories of this soon to be family of 4. With looming dark clouds earlier in the day, the sun decided to come out for our session. Cullen will be two in a couple of weeks and like most 2 year olds, “no” was his favourite word today. He loves fruit snacks and thankfully they worked to get him in our images. Little did he know it was all a trick. Thank you Shera and Jim for choosing me to document this exciting time in your family. I look forward to meeting your new little one when he or she makes their appearance. Here are just a few images from our session today….enjoy!
Yesterday Rosie brought mom and dad to see me so they could capture some fall family memories. I first photographed Rosie in studio back in May as a 7 month old. She was so happy and smiley. At one year, Rosie is still a super smiley baby. She isn’t yet walking but can get anywhere butt scooting. She is super flexible too. Rosie didn’t love being held as she preferred to be on the move and explore the new ground. Bosco, their 3yr old poodle joined us as he too is part of the family. It was funny how he wasn’t keen on my lens pointing towards him. I did capture this one image though. Thank you Megan and Ted for making your way down the valley to see me. Here is a little sample from our session together.
I never shy away from an older newborn session and I am so happy to have spent part of my day with this adorable baby. Blakely Marie was born Sept 5th and weighed 7 lbs 15 oz. Picking her up today I am pretty sure she is close to 9 lbs of squishy snuggly, goodness. Blakely slept for me for the first half of our session and let me get through lots of set ups before she needed a snack. Being an older baby it took a bit to get her to sleep again as she was super interested in looking around and scoping me out. Dad is a hockey player over seas and was here for her arrival but had to return shortly after. With technology he was able to see part of our session on FaceTime. Thank you Loretta for contacting me to capture these sweet newborn memories for you. Blakely was a great little model and I enjoyed getting to know you both. Here are just a few from our session.
Several weeks back Ashley inquired about a special session to commemorate her sweet little girl’s one year birthday as well as to capture the special bond that exists between a mamma and her breastfeeding baby. I jumped at the chance and today I met little Amelia. She has the bluest eyes and strawberry blonde hair and these squishy, kissable cheeks. She loves her mamma time for sure and was ready for some cuddles and nursing when she arrived. As a maternal/neonatal nurse, helping new moms breastfeed is very much a part of my daily work activities. For most (not everyone) it becomes a very intimate nurturing time between mom and child. I was privileged to be asked to be a part of this today. Thanks Ashley for bringing your sweet girl to see me. I am so very thrilled with how your images turned out. Here is just a sample.
