It was so refreshing to have an evening session in crisp clear air with beautiful warm sun and no smoke. Rikki and her family are here visiting from Calgary and booked me a few months back to do their family session. Ziara is 6 and Kyra is almost 4 and they are the sweetest little models. They were definitely naturals in front of the camera. The girls have been spending their vacation swimming and playing at the beach. Doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you Rikki and Ross for having me capture these memories for you. Here is just a sample of the images we created.
After one clear day, the smoke blew in just in time for my maternity session. I met up with Rebecca and Alex last evening to capture this exciting time as they anticipate the arrival of their first baby. Rebecca is due Sept 6th but this little one may arrive earlier. I usually do maternity sessions a little earlier just for this reason so I am glad some rest last week helped prevent an early appearance. Thank you Rebecca for having me document this special time in your life. I look forward to meeting your sweet new baby in September. Here are a few images from our session, enjoy!
This morning I got to spend some time with the sweetest family of boys. They came to see me for Drew’s 6 month photos. I first met this family two years ago when middle boy Jack was 6 months old and was happy to be asked again to document some milestone memories. Will is now 4 and such an easy going boy. Jack, at 2 did very well, and Drew was a sweetie. Once the older boys were finished Dad took them to the playground across the street from my studio and I was able to spend one on one time with Drew. At 6 months old he is over 20 lbs, has yet to cut teeth, is pretty smiley, and is not yet mobile. Thank you Courtney for having me capture these memories for you. Here are just a few from our session together.
It has been two years since I have photographed this family and the kids have grown so much. Sheryl and her family are here from Alberta for a few weeks visiting family and friends. Last evening, despite the smokey skies, we met up for a quick family session. It was warm and the sun tried hard to get through the layer of smoke, making for unique lighting. Grandma joined in for a special photo with her granddaughters. A neighbourhood cat decided it would be fun to visit, and he even jumped up on my box as if to want to be photographed too. The girls thought this was pretty funny. Thanks Sheryl and family for having me capture these memories for you. Enjoy the rest of your time visiting.
Sweet little Mila came for her debut photo session this morning. Born on August 1st, she weighed 7 lbs even, and at 9 days old today was a dream baby. Mom says she is a bit of a night owl but that works for me. Mila didn’t cry for any of her session, only made little noises being all bundled up. We were done in just two hours and that included two snacks! She made my job so enjoyable. I would photograph her again any day. Thank you so much Silje and Ryan for having me capture these sweet memories for you. Here are just a few from today….enjoy!
